    Robert graduated in 2004 from the MK and has been with us from the beginning. Robert has set the high standard that Strikid is known for. In 2002 Robert was awarded the title "Chef intern of the year".

  • “Genuinely amazing food”

    I don't rave about restaurants a lot because my palate is really hard to please but Strikiđ is one of those rare places that make me go 'wow, just wow'. I had the guillemot starter and the trio of seafood (ling, trout and puffin) and the skyr mousse for dessert. The lovely presentation aside, the flavours were extremely well balanced, with just a touch of a berry compotte and some micro herbs on the slices of guillemot which added to the flavour without masking it.

  • “Very good choice”

    We were delighted by this little restaurant on the upper floor of the building, from which you can enjoy a stunning view of the city, with the main church and the fjord. We tried some sushi, whale meat and reindeer burger and everything was wonderful and freshly made. The bread (homemade) with the skyr-butter cream on the top is definitely delicious!  

    If I lived in Akureyri, this restaurant would be a perfect choice for dining out with friends on weekend

  • “Stylish and delicious food!”

    On the 5th and last floor of the building, this restaurant has a nice view on Akureyri harbour and a cozy atmosphere. I chose the icelandic menu consisting of 5 courses with local specialities for about 9000 kr. It was really fine and good-looking food. Congratulations to the chef! Worth the price! Service was also very kind and professional. But I may not be objective about that point, I found the waiter gorgeous :)
